Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working exclusively with a privately owned Main Contractor operating across East Anglia on multiple sectors including: Commercial, Retail, Residential, Mixed-Use and Healthcare. Due to sustained growth of the business and a healthy pipeline of secured projects, they are seeking to recruit a talented Contracts Manager to join their Construction Management team. Our client has an excellent reputation in the main contracting market, holding key positions on leading frameworks and a market leading staff retention rate of well over 95%.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing 2-3 New Build or Refurbishment projects. You will be initially working closely with the pre-construction team to take management of the project through from tender and award stage, liaising with site delivery teams throughout the project to oversee the project to completion. Each project will have site based Project Manager and Site Manager. The successful candidate will have an active role in the management of the planning, design and contract administration on the project on an ongoing basis with client engagement a key part of the position. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with a track record for successfully delivering projects on time, to a high quality and promoting excellent standards of Health and Safety.
Desirable Experience: Previously held a Contracts Manager role managing multiple projects over c£7m in single value. Exceptional client facing and management skills, experience in leading teams of c15 staff. Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous. Ideally from a Site Management or Engineering background.
Previous Roles: Contracts Manager OR Project Manager OR Senior Project Manager.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
