Company & Project: A Top 100 Main Contractor who have a successful history operating across Suffolk are currently looking to expand their pre-construction team with a with a talented Bid Management professional.
Operating across multiple sectors including Commercial, Mixed-Use, Residential and Education they are recruiting for an experienced and effective Bid Manager to complement their team.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a work winning team, handling a variety of tenders, working hands on writing bids and leading a team of up to 5 pre-construction colleagues.
Previous experience working in pre-construction as either a Planner, Estimator or Design Manager would be advantageous, or from a Project Management or Commercial background.
Desirable Experience:
- 5 years+ UK experience working for a Main Contractor, ideally within a Pre-Construction position, or alternatively in a profession which has exposure to Pre-Construction stages e.g. Estimator, Planner, Design Manager, Project Manager or Commercial.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
- Good knowledge of construction management process and techniques.
- Previous roles: Bid Manager OR Bid Coordinator OR Proposals Manager OR Estimator OR Design Manager OR Planner OR Framework Manager.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or comparable qualification.
