Location: Island of Ireland (nationwide travel required). Head office in County Armagh.

Salary: £26,000 – £35,000 per annum (DOE).

Reporting to: Contracts Manager / Project Manager.

Our client is a leading specialist contractor delivering safe, efficient and innovative piling, foundation and precast solutions. With a nationwide footprint across Ireland and Great Britain, they successfully deliver projects across a wide range of sectors. They build long-term partnerships with clients, including main contractors, house builders, local authorities, private companies and developers across all sectors.

The Role: Our client is seeking a Setting Out Engineer to support piling, foundation and precast operations across the Island of Ireland. This role is ideal for an engineer with at least one year’s experience who is looking to progress their career within a well-established and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out works using Total Station equipment.
  • Interpreting and working from CAD drawings.
  • Assisting with site surveys and as-built records.
  • Liaising with site teams, project managers and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring works are delivered accurately, safely and in line with programme.
  • Supporting quality control and compliance with project specifications.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a setting out role.
  • Proven experience using Total Station.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD.
  • Good understanding of construction site practices.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • Permanent right to work in the UK (essential).
  • Willingness to travel nationwide.
