Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Senior Admin Officer based in Downpatrick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support within a busy local office, supporting the Temporary Accommodation Team and ensuring the efficient delivery of day-to-day administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support related to the work of the local office.
  • Provide administrative support to the Temporary Accommodation Team for South Down.
  • Organise meetings, including diary scheduling, circulating papers, booking venues and preparing meeting rooms and equipment.
  • Attend meetings and prepare accurate records and minutes for review and distribution.
  • Gather data from internal systems and reports to assist with Public Affairs Requests, Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information Requests and complaints.
  • Assist in the preparation, validation and presentation of statistical information for senior management reports.
  • Record and communicate incoming post, telephone calls, emails and face-to-face enquiries to the appropriate officers.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including temporary accommodation providers, housing customers, statutory agencies and internal departments.

Essential Criteria

  • 1–5 years’ administrative experience.
  • Experience providing administrative support within a busy office environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience organising meetings, taking minutes and preparing accurate records.
  • Experience handling confidential information and responding to enquiries professionally.
  • Intermediate IT proficiency.
  • Basic Access NI clearance (required prior to commencement).
