On behalf of our client, Apple Recruitment Service are recruiting Enforcement Officers to support the Environmental Health team within the Sustainability department.
Main Duties Include:
- Enforcing legislation related to:
- Dog licensing and control
- Litter, graffiti, and fly-tipping
- Tobacco control
- Abandoned vehicles
- Animal welfare
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs including English (or 1+ year relevant experience as a substitute)
- Experience in enforcement, public engagement, or preparation of reports
- Confident communicator with strong IT skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Full UK driving licence or suitable alternative due to disability
- Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and shift work
Desirable:
- Experience working with dogs or in animal welfare
- Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g. Clean Neighbourhood and Environment Act, Dogs Order)
- Experience giving evidence in court
Shift Information:
The role operates on a 4-week rolling rota, covering early mornings, evenings, and one Saturday in every four. Flexibility is essential, and appropriate PPE including uniform, body armour, and personal CCTV will be provided.
