About the Role
We are currently recruiting for Security / Car Parking Assistants to support a busy hospital environment. This is a varied frontline role involving security, car parking management and support services duties, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff. The successful candidates will work as part of a professional team delivering a high standard of service across the hospital site.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol hospital grounds and buildings on foot and by vehicle
- Respond to security incidents and requests for assistance
- Monitor and manage traffic flow and car parking facilities
- Assist with investigations into incidents, accidents and security breaches
- Liaise with emergency services when required
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records
- Support porter services and other operational duties as required
- Monitor CCTV systems following relevant procedures and training
- Promote a safe, secure and welcoming environment for all site users
Essential Criteria
- Applicants must be aged 18 years or over
- Have at least 2 years' previous experience in a security role
- Hold a full UK driving licence enabling them to drive a manual transmission vehicle (or have suitable alternative transport where applicable)
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work independently and use initiative
- Be willing and able to work a rotating shift pattern including days, evenings and nights
Shift Pattern
Rotational rota consisting of:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- 10:00pm – 6:00am
Rota schedules will be issued two weeks in advance.
