Location: Belfast

Hours: Full-Time, Temporary

Weekly Hours: 37.5 hours

Salary: Band 2

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

About the Role

Apple Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Warehouse Operative based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy warehouse team responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring orders are processed accurately while maintaining high standards of quality, stock control, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving, checking, and verifying incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality
  • Unloading and storing stock within designated warehouse locations
  • Picking, packing, marshalling, and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Replenishing stock locations and maintaining effective stock rotation
  • Processing priority customer requests within required timescales
  • Operating warehouse equipment, including hand pallet trucks and other mechanical aids (training provided where appropriate)
  • Carrying out routine equipment checks and reporting faults or defects
  • Assisting with stock counts, inventory control, and returns procedures
  • Maintaining accurate warehouse records and following warehouse management procedures
  • Ensuring warehouse areas remain clean, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations
  • Working in accordance with quality management procedures and operational standards

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grades A–C) including English Language and Mathematics
  • An NVQ Level 2/GNVQ (or equivalent) plus 1 year's relevant experience
  • A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience within a stores or warehouse environment gained within the last 5 years
