We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, highly reputable organisation within the energy and utilities sector, known for its strong safety culture, investment in people, and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As an Emergency Gas Service Engineer, you’ll play a vital frontline role providing a 24/7 emergency response service, alongside carrying out installations, inspections, and maintenance. This is a varied and rewarding position offering stability, development, and long-term career progression.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver a safe and efficient emergency gas response service
- Participate in an out-of-hours standby rota
- Carry out gas installations, repairs, meter exchanges, and boiler checks
- Ensure all work complies with ACS, IGEM, and safety standards
- Accurately record jobs, materials, and safety issues
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and PPE
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Support ongoing training and development initiatives
You will work 8.30am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Following training you will be on an emergency 24 hour rota.
About You
- ACS (CCN1 or CMA1 REGT1) qualified
- Minimum 1 year post-apprenticeship experience in domestic gas/heating
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience in utility contracts or emergency response (desirable)
