Apple Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Logistics Support Technician based in Bangor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy operational support team, providing essential logistics, transport and equipment support to ensure frontline services operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide logistics and operational support, including the delivery and transfer of equipment, vehicles and supplies.
  • Drive a range of specialist vehicles, including LGVs, in support of operational activities.
  • Carry out testing, inspection, maintenance, calibration and certification of operational equipment.
  • Support the maintenance, preparation and inventory management of specialist vehicles and equipment.
  • Deliver equipment, personnel and supplies to operational locations and training exercises as required.
  • Participate in a regional standby rota to provide out-of-hours logistical support.
  • Maintain accurate records using stock and asset management systems.
  • Carry out equipment decontamination, cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Support stock control, warehouse operations and site security activities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while working closely with operational teams.
Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in a service delivery environment that included driving Large Goods Vehicles (LGV).
  • A full, current HGV/LGV Category C UK driving licence.
  • A full, current B+E UK driving licence.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and management information systems.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A Counter Balance and Reach Forklift Truck licence, or willingness to complete training.
Desirable Criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Experience working in a technical or maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of Fire & Rescue Service equipment.
  • Cat D1 UK driving licence.
