Apple Recruitment Services are delighted to be recruiting for a Part-Time B2 Pharmacy Stores Driver role in Antrim at £12.71 per hour, 2 days each week for an initial period of 6 months, which will then be reviewed for extension as services require.
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of one year’s experience as a warehouse/stores assistant OR 5 GCSEs (Grades A – G) or equivalent, including English Language and Mathematics Grade C or above.
- Hold a current full driving licence. This criteria will be waived for applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust.
- Be able to undertake manual handling tasks such as lifting, unpacking deliveries, and handling ward stock boxes on a daily basis, utilising specialist equipment, e.g. pallet truck, electric truck etc.
- Have basic knowledge and experience of IT systems such as Microsoft Word and email.
- General good health for the demands of the post.
Job Summary:
To assist the Senior Pharmacy Assistant Stores Supervisor in all aspects of the pharmacy stores and distribution service, ensuring stock is managed effectively in the delivery of a quality service. To assist with the day-to-day activities of the Pharmacy Stores, optimising efficiency and workflow by ensuring that all required duties are carried out to the required standards within the accepted timescale.
Key Result Areas / Main Responsibilities:
- To check stock and receive & check deliveries from suppliers.
- To maintain delivery paperwork and associated computer records for Pharmacy Stores items.
- To assist in the process of supplier returns.
- To participate in the issue and assembly of pharmaceuticals.
- To participate in the dispensing and distribution service to the wards for Bulk IV fluids and Procedure Packs.
- To transport Pharmacy items from the Pharmacy Store to wards and departments across Antrim and Holywell sites utilising the designated Pharmacy Van, following successful completion of the applicable NHSCT driving assessment.
- To ensure Pharmacy Stores are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- To maintain safe systems of work within Pharmacy Stores, ensuring appropriate storage and separation of stock, especially items requiring refrigeration or special handling.
- To participate in the schedule of Bin Maintenance and Expiry Date checking within the Pharmacy Stores, including the maintenance of written records.
