Location: Antrim Area

Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour

Hours: Full-Time, 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Duration: Temporary contract for up to 18 months

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor on behalf of a large public sector organisation based in the Antrim area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a busy and supportive Human Resources team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality HR advice and support to managers, employees and applicants, while contributing to the delivery of an efficient, customer-focused HR service. Working closely with HR Managers and HR Officers, you will support a broad range of HR activities including recruitment and selection, employee relations, attendance management, HR administration, policy implementation and workforce projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to managers, employees and applicants
  • Support recruitment and selection activities, including advertising vacancies, preparing recruitment documentation, shortlisting and participating in interview panels
  • Prepare contracts of employment, job offers and complete pre-employment checks
  • Attend absence review meetings and prepare Occupational Health referrals
  • Support disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes, including preparing documentation and attending meetings as HR representative
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems
  • Process HR administration including payroll notifications, annual leave queries and temporary contract reviews
  • Produce HR reports and management information as required
  • Conduct exit interviews and support employee onboarding activities
  • Participate in HR projects, policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Build positive working relationships across the organisation and provide excellent customer service

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • Qualifications: CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards achieving it. OR In the absence of CIPD Level 3, a minimum of 4 years' relevant HR experience
  • Experience: At least 2 years' HR experience providing first-line advice and support to managers, employees and applicants
  • At least 2 years' experience supporting recruitment and selection processes
  • Experience accurately inputting information and producing letters, reports and HR documentation
