Location: Antrim

Pay Rate: £20.66 per hour

Hours: Full-Time (37 hours per week)

Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

Duration: Up to 3 months

About the Role

On behalf of our client, we are delighted to be recruiting for an Estate Contracts Officer to support the delivery of a range of functions within the Estate Services Section.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of Estate Services across Council-maintained properties
  • Support contract management and annual order management activities
  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of Planned Preventative Maintenance systems
  • Contribute to the management of asbestos, legionella, CCTV, fire risk assessments and access audits
  • Assist in the delivery of facilities and building maintenance services
  • Support the management of security, playground maintenance and Council property assets
  • Develop service delivery agreements and prepare tender and contract documentation in line with procurement regulations
  • Monitor maintenance works and provide accurate performance information and reports
  • Collate, analyse and report monthly, quarterly and annual performance statistics
  • Assist with budget monitoring and expenditure forecasting
  • Provide contract delivery advice, project cost management and technical support
  • Manage staff, contractors and operational resources to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Support maintenance, refurbishment and minor works projects from design through to completion
  • Provide a high level of customer service, resolving queries and complaints through to completion
  • Attend meetings, training and out-of-hours duties as required
  • Participate in the standby and emergency call-out rota for Council properties

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate:

Qualifications

  • A Degree in a relevant discipline such as Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Building Surveying or other equivalent Level 6 qualification as per the qualification framework in a relevant discipline.
  • OR A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in lieu of the above qualification.

Experience

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience of building construction to include:
  • Experience of building construction and current building techniques and their application
  • Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems and application of same
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety legislation with regards to facilities management
  • Experience of facilities contract management
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in the management and supervision of staff and contractors.
