About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Domestic Assistant with Catering Duties (Band 2) Antrim. The successful candidate will provide high-quality domestic and catering support, helping to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and young people. This role involves a combination of cleaning duties, food service support, and ensuring excellent standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general cleaning duties including vacuuming, dusting, floor maintenance, and cleaning sanitary areas
- Cleaning furniture, fittings, walls, windows, glass partitions, and other areas as required
- Completing periodic cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning
- Removing waste and replenishing supplies including hand towels, soaps, and toilet rolls
- Receiving, storing, and managing cleaning materials safely
- Supporting food preparation and catering duties
- Serving meals and beverages to children and staff
- Ensuring food safety procedures are followed, including storage, temperature checks, and safe handling of meals
- Supporting the security of the building, including operation of alarm systems where required
- Following Trust policies and procedures relating to domestic services, infection prevention, and health & safety
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a cleaning, domestic, catering, or similar support role is desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a caring, respectful approach
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for children and young people
- Enhanced Access NI with barred list check required prior to appointment
