Software Engineer, Partner Engineering, Apple Pay

Description
We are looking for engineers, architects with a high level of technical skill and experience crafting, building and running diverse product lines and types of infrastructure at scale. You will be involved in designing API specifications and protocols to tackle novel problems and working closely with internal engineering teams, server and iOS on feature definition and development.You will also work with internal technical document writer to develop rich developer documentation for new Wallet features.You will develop and implement Web Services/REST APIs defined in Apple Pay server & Wallet specifications andwork closely with the engineers, architects as well as executives at 3rd party companies that design, build and run their services.In this role you will be the voice of the future 3rd parties, as new products and services are invented and architected inside of Apple Pay and you will cultivate successful engagements to establish a pipeline of well qualified and capable 3rd parties for the rest of the engineering function to integrate, test and launch with, without delay.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior work experience architecting, implementing or running large scale customer facing services.
- Experience authoring and supporting web services/REST APIs.
- Experience with Relational, NoSQL Databases and developing scalable and distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience/understanding of security and cryptography (not mandatory).
- Able to establish rapport with people inside and outside the organization.
- Comfortable engaging across all levels of a company from engineers to executives and sensitive to cultural differences in country/region of a product.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with good business insight, curiosity and able to self direct.
- Creative thinker and problem solver with meticulous attention to detail.
