We ensure the flawless development and execution of copywriting across Apple Music, Apple Music Classical and associated platforms. Every day, millions of Apple Music customers discover and learn about music and our content through our words and language. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with a simple, engaging and inspiring experience. The team is seeking a Senior Writer to manage, edit, write and oversee all copywriting for Apple Music Classical, our standalone music streaming app and genre category on Apple Music. We partner with internal and external teams across the company to create and deliver outstanding copy that brings the magic of classical music to life across Apple products to every touchpoint of the customer experience. With Apple Music Classical, Apple Music subscribers have access to
the world’s largest music catalogue, enjoy the highest audio quality available with immersive Spatial Audio, and can read descriptions of thousands of new and historic works.

The Senior Writer will manage and craft the words that help define the Apple Music Classical experience on both the Apple Music Classical and Apple Music apps, as well as related and emerging digital, news and social media platforms and marketing and communications materials. You will be an expert in editing and writing classical music copy, conducting interviews with leading artists, creating copy and ideas for campaigns and editorial features, and obsessing over every word, headline, title and album note that guides a user through the classical music experience. On any given day, you will brainstorm campaigns, help conceive innovative new approaches to classical music writing, and work cross-functionally to produce copy for new products and features. In this role, you will represent the Apple Music voice, and you will have the opportunity to do the best work of your career-and have it seen by millions of classical music listeners. Responsibilities include: – Writing and managing
beautiful copy that inspires customers to discover and explore our vast and growing library of Apple Music Classical works and content. This includes writing and editing album notes for both new and catalogue releases and playlists, conducting interviews with leading artists and musicians, and creating accompanying platform featuring copy. – Authoring fun, thoughtful and compelling featuring copy for campaigns, editorial features, playlists and instrument descriptions. – Partnering with executives, editors, producers, UX writers, engineers, and designers to craft copy for product features and digital platforms. – Managing and editing a team of expert freelance writers for album notes, playlists, artist and composer bios, news articles and social media copy. – Overseeing classical audio track-by-tracks and narrative scripts. – Collaborating with the Apple Music Localisation team on providing the highest quality copy for Apple Music Classical around the world.
