The company is best known for working at an early stage with emerging and established artists across many genres – including Ayra Starr, Billie Eilish, Clementine Douglas, Gustavo Dudamel, Saint Harrison, Victoria Monét, Yebba, and Mr. Eazi. Platoon is seeking a passionate individual to help drive the next wave of growth for our publishing business. This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of music, technology, and business strategy— a creative and strategic thinker who can turn ideas into projects. Description Research, identify and sign new potential writers to grow Platoon’s repertoire. Work with music publishing, legal, finance and business teams to structure and negotiate publishing deals that align with client and company goals. Catalog management. Ensuring efficient acquisition, organisation, and optimisation of rights and assets. Contribute new features and ideas to maximise client experience on platform, in collaboration with product and engineering teams. Help develop new scalable and innovative publishing services that Platoon can offer. Implement structured frameworks and workflows that improve decision-making, execution, and scalability across projects. Analyse music industry trends, listener behaviour, and digital consumption patterns to uncover new opportunities. Measure performance and impact using data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimise outcomes. Drive operational excellence, ensuring clarity, alignment, and efficiency in everything we do. Minimum Qualifications Proven demonstrable experience within music publishing and/or A&R related role, with a strong network in the songwriting/producer community. Deep and proven expertise in music rights, licensing, and deal structures. Proven ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives and deadlines that fuel innovation, business growth, and operational excellence. Strong analytical skills with a passion for data-driven decision-making and trend forecasting. Ability to execute projects with structure, agility, and attention to detail, whilst coordinating with a wide range of stakeholders. Interest and passion in music and songwriters, with a willingness to explore innovative ideas. Comfortable with music rights terminology and knowledgeable about royalty/metadata flows, including the role of collection societies. Preferred Qualifications Exceptional communication and presentation skills with internal and external partners. Ability to work as part of a globally distributed team.
