The Mac Display Driver team within GGML is responsible for enabling state of the art display and graphics technologies across all Mac products. This includes support for the Liquid Glass UI introduced in macOS Tahoe and Liquid Retina XDR display in the current MacBook Pro models.

We are looking for an engineer who is driven, curious and passionate about being on the cutting edge of new graphics and display technology. As a display driver engineer you will be working across core Mac graphics and display components like window compositor, CoreAnimation and display driver to implement display and UI related features, optimize performance and improve the quality and robustness of our display and UI software stack.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Proficiency in C/C++ with understanding of memory management, threading, and performance optimization
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
  • Ability to take ownership of features or stability investigations and drive their resolution across multiple software components.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with low level graphics application programming, firmware or driver development
  • Experience with performance analysis and optimizations.
  • Experience or interest in software architecture and design
