You'll ship features across our platform: integrations with major publishers, our customer dashboard, content parsing pipelines, and proofs of concept that push what Apple News can do. On any given day you might be building a liveblog integration for a global sports brand, debugging a delivery issue during a breaking news story, or prototyping something new with a feature Apple has just released to us.
We expect you to be fluent with AI development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or equivalent) and to use them daily, for writing code, reviewing PRs, triaging bugs and finding ways to ship faster.
What You'll Own
- Feature delivery across our Node.js backend, React dashboard, and parsing layer
- Customer-facing integrations for some of the world's biggest publishers
- Proofs of concept for new platforms and Apple News capabilities
- Clean, well-documented code with polished handovers
- Bringing AI-assisted approaches into how we build, review and ship
Must-haves

- Solid grasp of HTML5, modern CSS, and DOM manipulation
- AWS experience: deployment, configuration, sensible operational instincts
- Comfortable in git workflows and agile teams
- US hours availability (9am-5pm PT, equivalent to 5pm-1am UK)
Nice-to-haves
- Publishing or media background
- Experience with content parsing (Cheerio or similar)
- MongoDB
- Exposure to Apple News Format (we'll train you regardless)
We strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds to apply. All qualified candidates will be considered regardless of race, gender, identity, orientation, disability or background.
