The Carrier Account Manager provides the key interface between our external and carrier partner device teams and Apple’s internal engineering teams to facilitate the testing and technical validation of new hardware and software introduction and key infrastructure projects with carriers.You will project manage the test and validation cycles and ensure that all issues are prioritised, tracked and reported appropriately within Apple. This role requires you to be highly knowledgeable in wireless technologies ( 5G, LTE, WCDMA, IMS, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth) as you will be discussing the capabilities and limitations of devices. You will need to demonstrate excellent relationship building and project management skills as you will be setting expectations and leading technical discussions with our Carrier partners.

Description

In this role, you will apply your detailed technical knowledge of wireless standards to understand, prioritise issues found during certification test and drive these to resolution.The role includes the following duties:

• Support and drive the carrier approval of wireless devices
• Report project status, prioritise tasks, escalte to senior management
• Analyse network features and operator requirements and provide feedback to engineering and marketing with regard to complexities and capability

This role will require occasional international travel

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end carrier certification and technical approval process for new wireless devices across partner networks.
• Coordinate test and validation cycles between external carrier partner device teams and Apple’s internal engineering teams for new hardware, software, and infrastructure projects.
• Prioritize, track, and elevate issues found during certification testing, driving them to resolution with engineering teams.
• Analyse network features and operator requirements, providing technical feedback to internal stakeholders on device capabilities, complexities, and limitations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners and cross-functional internal teams, setting expectations and leading technical discussions on wireless technologies.
• Report project status and certification progress to senior management, flagging risks and blockers early.
• Evaluate current carrier deployments and future wireless trends to inform product readiness and certification strategy.

Minimum Qualifications

• Technical experience working in an OEM or Carrier device team
• Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders across different carriers
• Degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or equivalent
