Apple Music has a new opportunity for an Artist Bookings and Promotions Lead to join the Artist Services & Talent Relations organisation in London. This role will support the Artist Relations team in a day-to-day capacity and work across the radio and editorial teams to execute the artist bookings within our studios and radio ecosystem and strategise the promotional use of the content.
Description
The Artist Bookings and Promotions Lead will manage the day-to-day work encompassing artist booking opportunities across several content initiatives including radio, social content, live events, and more. The role will work alongside our Artist Relations team based in the UK and is responsible for the end to end execution of promotional opportunities for artists as well as their in person experience. We are looking for someone with strong industry relationships, artist experience, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex projects and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Execute a global strategy for celebrity and artist bookings across multiple content initiatives.
- Support the day to day studio operations by coordinating bookings across radio shows, video content, in studio performances through collaboration with artist relations, editorial and music business partnership teams.
- Work directly with internal stakeholders at Apple including the global Artist Relations team and Music Business Partnerships to organize, communicate, catalog and execute all interview & guest asks across radio and other content types.
- Build campaign strategies across artist campaigns.
- Execute and manage the artist journey and experience in the physical studio spaces.
- Work physically onsite at radio studios to greet artists, ensure their experience is exceptional, and represent Apple Music while coordinating with all external artist teams.
- Attend artist relations and studio meetings to keep inline with business priorities.
- Manage a calendar of bookings and communicate cross-functionally with radio, music business partnerships, marketing and editorial teams.
- Use existing tools to organize and catalog all artist engagements and bookings.
- Collaborate across internal teams—including artist relations, radio, experiential, content, PR, and marketing—to identify creative opportunities for original artist content.
- End to end management of original content production alongside key stakeholders with a focus on unique storytelling and strategic distribution.
- Identify promotional opportunities across the Apple ecosystem for content distribution; Apple Music News, Podcasts, TV app, TV+, Fitness etc.
- Work closely with PR teams for strategic alignment on distributing original content. Manage communications with external partners to build cohesive PR messaging for all content.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners (label, publicist, management teams), providing guidance on production, strategic distribution and marketing.
- Develop social content initiatives and strategies with alongside international marketing teams and external partners.
- Look for unique ways to extend the life of the content in multiple phases across radio and social channels.
- Provide detailed recaps of content lead projects focused on platform featuring, ecosystem coverage, PR and social channels. Distribute to external and internal stakeholders.
- Competitive research and analysis in order to develop a unique and impactful content capture for artist partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous demonstrable experience within music content production and talent booking.
- Experience overseeing high level and cross-functional projects end-to-end.
- Demonstrable experience hosting artist or celebrity talent, managing VIP relations, and looking after all details of a partnership – no matter how big or small.
- Existing relationships across music, editorial, production and entertainment.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to break through noise and provide clarity to all areas of the business including executive leaders.
- Demonstrate extraordinary planning, organising, creative & critical thinking skills.
- Travel may be necessary from time to time, both domestic & international.
