Essential Duties:
- Maintain lines at teller windows and platform areas.
- Respond to customer inquiries and refer them to appropriate areas within the branch for detailed information or service.
- Report unusual situations or potential issues that were observed on the banking floor to branch management.
- Assist customers in the rental of new safe deposit boxes and/or the surrendering of existing boxes; refer all estate and legal safe deposit box matters to branch management.
- Verify signature on access ticket versus customer contract prior to granting customer access to a safe deposit box.
- Escort customer to the bank vault, remove safe deposit box from the nest and carry box to a coupon room.
- Inspect the coupon room to ensure that personal articles were not left behind and return the box to the nest in the presence of customer.
- Ensure that sufficient number of locks for safe deposit boxes are available on premises.
- May open the bank in the morning; close and lock bank doors at the end of business.
- Maintain security at branch by admitting only authorized persons before and after bank hours.
- Maintain vault area and depositor tables in a neat and orderly manner; replenish necessary supplies.
- Update records and perform data entry.
- Ensure current interest rates are properly posted and product literature is displayed in racks.
- Assist in changing the locks for customers who lost keys.
- May be required to perform light custodial duties, including but not limited to cleaning the banking floor to maintain a neat appearance; sweeping the sidewalk to remove litter and performing light snow removal during periods of inclement weather.
- May assist with the opening and or closing of the vault.
- Adhere to Bank Code of Conduct.
- Perform other duties as requested.
