Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging KS2 lessons
- Teach across core subjects (English, Maths, Science) and deliver the wider curriculum (History, Geography, Art, DT, Computing, PE, Music, RE, MFL as appropriate)
- Set high expectations for progress in literacy, numeracy, writing, reading comprehension, and maths
- Use a range of resources and teaching strategies to cater for diverse learning needs and different ability levels
- Mark work and provide constructive feedback to support student progress
- Manage pupil behaviour in line with each school's behaviour policy
- Contribute positively to the KS2/Primary department and wider school community
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge across English, Mathematics and Science, plus familiarity with the Primary National Curriculum
- Confident practitioner with excellent behaviour management skills
- Experience delivering a broad primary curriculum
- Experience supporting students with SEND in a primary context
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
