The Opportunity
As a Senior Java Developer, you'll be a hands‑on technical leader within a Scrum team, contributing to the design, development and delivery of new features while helping to drive engineering best practice across the wider development function.
Alongside software development responsibilities, you'll mentor and coach developers, contribute to technical strategy and help foster a collaborative, high‑performing engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver high‑quality Java applications
- Lead by example within Agile Scrum teams
- Contribute to architecture, technical design and software quality initiatives
- Promote Agile development and Test‑Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Support and mentor developers through regular coaching and guidance
- Participate in pair programming, code reviews and technical discussions
- Drive continuous improvement across tools, frameworks and processes
- Work closely with Product Owners, Test Analysts and fellow engineers to deliver customer‑focused solutions
