Applause IT are recruiting for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a global SaaS and aviation technology business operating at the forefront of digital transformation within the aviation sector. This is a strategic, commercially focused role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of enterprise SaaS agreements across a global customer base. Working within an international Digital Tech Ops ecosystem, you’ll partner closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product and Customer Success teams to accelerate deal closure, improve commercial governance and support long-term revenue growth.
This role would suit someone with experience in enterprise SaaS contracts, commercial negotiations, deal desk, revenue operations or commercial governance who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional technology environment.
The Role
As Commercial Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of customer and partner agreements from initial negotiation through to execution, renewal and expansion. You’ll play a key role in balancing commercial objectives, operational efficiency and risk mitigation while helping shape scalable processes across the wider commercial function. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across multiple international teams and help improve contracting workflows, governance frameworks and commercial enablement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full lifecycle of enterprise SaaS and professional services agreements
- Lead commercial negotiations across customer contracts, renewals, upsells, partnership agreements, MSAs, SOWs and NDAs
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance and Customer Success teams to accelerate deal progression and reduce commercial risk
- Manage CRM pipelines within HubSpot and Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and commercial visibility
- Improve deal governance, approval workflows and contracting processes to increase efficiency and win rates
- Develop scalable contract templates, commercial frameworks and sales playbooks
- Support strategic initiatives including enterprise customer acquisition, partnerships and new market expansion
- Ensure contracts align with wider business objectives, governance standards and operational requirements
Skills & Experience
- 4–7 years’ experience within commercial contracts, deal desk, commercial operations, revenue operations or enterprise SaaS environments
- Strong experience negotiating and managing complex B2B or SaaS agreements independently
- Commercially minded with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales, legal, finance and customer-facing teams
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot and Salesforce
- Experience within SaaS, enterprise software, aviation technology or B2B technology sectors
- Knowledge of contract lifecycle management processes and governance frameworks
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple negotiations simultaneously
