ApplauseIT are hiring for an Application Analyst to join a growing company within the Local Government Software sector. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for application support, troubleshooting, and customer service in a Windows-based environment.
The Role
As an Application Analyst, you will:
β Support client-server and web applications in a Windows Server environment.
β Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions for customers.
β Collaborate with project and delivery teams to onboard new customers.
β Work closely with the service desk to maintain hosted applications.
β Develop innovative solutions to improve service efficiency.
β Ensure security compliance and adhere to company policies.
β Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends.
What Youβll Need
-3+ yearsβ experience in application support (client-server and web-based systems, e.g. Apache, IIS).
-Strong SQL database skills (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
-Knowledge of Windows Server and application deployment.
-Scripting experience (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS).
-Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls).
-Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
-Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, Zabbix) is desirable.
-ITIL experience in incident, problem, and change management.
-Local government software experience is a plus but not essential.
