This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for application support, troubleshooting, and customer service in a Windows-based environment.

The Role

  • Support client-server and web applications in a Windows Server environment.
  • Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions for customers.
  • Collaborate with project and delivery teams to onboard new customers.
  • Work closely with the service desk to maintain hosted applications.
  • Develop innovative solutions to improve service efficiency.
  • Ensure security compliance and adhere to company policies.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends.

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years’ experience in application support (client-server and web-based systems, e.g. Apache, IIS).
  • Strong SQL database skills (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and application deployment.
  • Scripting experience (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS).
  • Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls).
  • Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, Zabbix) is desirable.
  • ITIL experience in incident, problem, and change management.
  • Local government software experience is a plus but not essential.
