ApplauseIT are hiring for an Application Analyst to join a growing company within the Local Government Software sector. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for application support, troubleshooting, and customer service in a Windows-based environment.
The Role
- Support client-server and web applications in a Windows Server environment.
- Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions for customers.
- Collaborate with project and delivery teams to onboard new customers.
- Work closely with the service desk to maintain hosted applications.
- Develop innovative solutions to improve service efficiency.
- Ensure security compliance and adhere to company policies.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends.
What You’ll Need
- 3+ years’ experience in application support (client-server and web-based systems, e.g. Apache, IIS).
- Strong SQL database skills (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).
- Knowledge of Windows Server and application deployment.
- Scripting experience (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS).
- Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls).
- Aware of cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, Zabbix) is desirable.
- ITIL experience in incident, problem, and change management.
- Local government software experience is a plus but not essential.
