ApplauseIT are hiring for an Application Analyst to join a growing company within the Local Government Software sector. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for application support, troubleshooting, and customer service in a Windows-based environment.

The Role

As an Application Analyst, you will:

– Support client-server and web applications in a Windows Server environment.

– Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions for customers.

– Collaborate with project and delivery teams to onboard new customers.

– Work closely with the service desk to maintain hosted applications.

– Develop innovative solutions to improve service efficiency.

– Ensure security compliance and adhere to company policies.

– Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends.

What You’ll Need

-3+ years’ experience in application support (client-server and web-based systems, e.g. Apache, IIS).

-Strong SQL database skills (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).

-Knowledge of Windows Server and application deployment.

-Scripting experience (SQL, PowerShell, Python, VBS).

-Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls).

-Awareness of cybersecurity best practices.

-Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG, Zabbix) is desirable.

-ITIL experience in incident, problem, and change management.

-Local government software experience is a plus but not essential.
