Applause IT are recruiting for a Principal Cyber & Information Assurance Consultant to join a specialist cyber security organisation delivering secure information exchange, interoperability and cyber resilience solutions across defence, government and critical national infrastructure environments. This is a senior consultancy role operating at the intersection of cyber security, information assurance, operational capability and secure data ecosystems. You'll work with senior stakeholders to shape secure, data-enabled solutions whilst helping organisations address complex cyber, interoperability and information assurance challenges.

The Role

As a Principal Cyber & Information Assurance Consultant, you'll play a key role in helping customers design and implement secure, resilient and interoperable systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising senior stakeholders on cyber security, information assurance and operational risk
  • Translating operational requirements into secure technical solutions
  • Supporting secure data exchange and interoperability initiatives across complex environments
  • Designing and implementing cyber assurance approaches across programmes
  • Supporting secure integration of data across systems, platforms and organisations
  • Working closely with delivery teams to ensure security and operational objectives remain aligned
  • Providing guidance around cyber resilience, digital data security and information assurance
  • Supporting innovation and capability development across emerging secure data technologies
  • Contributing to customer strategy, assurance activities and secure programme delivery

Skills & Experience Required

The successful Principal Cyber & Information Assurance Consultant is likely to have experience across several of the following areas:

  • Cyber Security and Information Assurance
  • Cyber resilience within operational environments
  • Secure data exchange and access control
  • Risk management and assurance frameworks
  • Secure systems integration and interoperability
  • Security architecture and secure solution design
  • Stakeholder engagement at senior level
  • Programme or project delivery within complex environments
  • Information security governance and compliance
  • Defence, national security or secure government environments

Experience with the following frameworks would be beneficial:

  • NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF)
  • Defence Standard 05-138
  • ISO 27001
  • Secure by Design approaches

Desirable Qualifications

  • CISSP
  • CISM
  • ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
  • Equivalent cyber security and information assurance certifications
