We are recruiting for an Infrastructure Support Engineer - Cloud & VoIP to support critical, always-on platforms within the care and assisted living sector. This is a home-based role combining remote and on-site infrastructure and application support across customer locations within your region.
As an Infrastructure Support Engineer Cloud & VoIP, you will work across a blend of cloud-hosted and on-premise environments, supporting highly available systems that operate 24/7 and play a vital role in emergency communications. This role includes participation in a 1-in-5 on-call rota, supporting business-critical platforms where reliability and uptime are essential.
The Role
- Deploy, manage and support cloud-hosted and on-premise infrastructure platforms
- Support VoIP / SIP-based application environments used for emergency communications
- Migrate legacy on-premise platforms into cloud environments
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to diagnose and resolve incidents
- Maintain and upgrade Windows, Linux, network and application components
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with security, resilience and compliance standards
- Fully document systems, changes, incidents and resolutions
Technical Skills & Experience
We are looking for an Infrastructure Support Engineer (Cloud & VoIP) with a strong infrastructure background and exposure to VoIP or SIP technologies, including:
- 2+ years' experience in an IT Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Support or Technical Support role
- Strong experience with Windows Server
- Experience supporting Linux environments (Debian desirable)
- Hands-on experience with VoIP / SIP technologies, such as SIP proxy servers, NAT, reverse proxy and platforms like 3CX, Freeswitch or STUN
- Good networking and security knowledge, including routers, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs and DMZs
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSMS and writing SQL queries
- Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar)
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure (IaaS, vNets, AD, HA, monitoring) is highly beneficial
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills
Certifications in Azure, Microsoft, Linux or Cisco are beneficial but not essential.
