Applause IT are recruiting for an Installation Engineer to join a leading global provider of digital identity and workforce management solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Field Engineer with an electrical or electronic background to join a growing operations team delivering installation, maintenance and technical support across customer sites in London.
The Role - Installation Engineer
As an Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Installation, commissioning and testing of hardware and digital workforce solutions at customer sites
- Routine and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding, diagnosis and resolution of technical issues
- Providing on-site technical expertise to customers and key stakeholders
- Ensuring installations meet compliance and quality standards
- Delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction
- Supporting ongoing service and maintenance contracts
The Field Engineer role involves regular travel across London and occasional overnight stays where required.
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this Installation Engineer role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a site-based or field-based engineering role
- Electrical or electronic installation background
- Experience installing or maintaining systems such as: Access control or similar electronic devices, CCTV, Fire alarm systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills
Essential Requirements
- Full clean UK driving licence
- DBS check (required)
- CSCS and/or SSSTS accreditation
