This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high‑performing team focused on partnering with venture capital‑backed technology businesses across the UK and USA. The role suits a commercially driven people-focused leader who thrives in fast‑paced, innovation‑led environments and is eager to play a central role in scaling a transatlantic recruitment operation.
In addition to leading a specialist recruitment team and driving growth within the VC and tech start‑up ecosystem, you will also take a pivotal role in scaling an additional high‑growth service designed to support international companies expanding into the U.S. market. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic recruitment leadership with broader commercial and product development responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of consultants focused on delivering intelligent hiring and talent solutions for VC‑backed businesses.
- Business Development: Build and expand relationships with venture‑backed tech companies, scale‑ups, and investor networks, securing new client engagements and growth opportunities.
- Partnership Building: Engage and partner with VCs, founders, and C‑suite stakeholders to create long‑term talent and growth strategies.
- Product & Service Expansion: Support the growth and go‑to‑market strategy of an innovative product offering that facilitates international expansion, especially into the U.S. market.
- Revenue Generation: Drive commercial outcomes by securing both talent‑focused projects and market expansion engagements, either directly or via your team.
- Strategic Growth: Play a key role in scaling operations across the UK and U.S., contributing to long‑term planning and execution across service lines.
- Market Representation: Represent the brand at VC events, tech summits, and international forums, supporting business development and thought leadership.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams across delivery, data, and advisory to create integrated solutions for high‑growth clients.
About You
- A proven leader with experience building and scaling teams within technology recruitment.
- Strong understanding of the startup/scale‑up landscape and venture‑backed business models.
- Demonstrated ability to win new business and build lasting, strategic client relationships.
- Experience or knowledge of helping companies expand into the U.S. market is highly advantageous.
- Commercially astute, growth‑oriented, and confident operating across multiple geographies and product offerings.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting where innovation, autonomy, and data‑driven solutions are at the core.
- Successful billing history of £300K+ pa.
