APPIT Software Solutions is hiring an AI Ethics & Governance Specialist in London, UK. Lead responsible AI initiatives at APPIT Software in London, establishing AI governance frameworks, bias auditing processes, and compliance strategies aligned with the EU AI Act and global regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement AI governance frameworks aligned with EU AI Act and UK AI regulations
  • Conduct algorithmic fairness audits and bias assessments across AI products
  • Create responsible AI guidelines, policies, and review processes for development teams
  • Lead AI risk assessments and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance
  • Design transparency and explainability solutions for high-risk AI systems
  • Advise product and engineering teams on ethical AI design and deployment practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, governance, or responsible technology
  • Deep knowledge of the EU AI Act, GDPR, and emerging AI regulatory frameworks
  • Experience conducting algorithmic audits and fairness assessments
  • Strong understanding of ML systems, bias sources, and mitigation techniques
  • Background in AI explainability methods (SHAP, LIME, counterfactual explanations)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy documentation

Nice to Have

  • Legal background or certification in data protection (CIPP/E, CIPM)
  • Published work on AI ethics or responsible AI
  • Experience with AI safety research or red-teaming
