We’re excited to recruit highly motivated, self‑employed delivery drivers to join our team at Appian Logistics Ltd. We deliver on behalf of some of the country’s most prestigious furniture and homeware retailers. As a Home Delivery Driver, you’ll deliver to the customer’s room of choice, unpack items and ensure they’re happy with their purchase. You’ll be the face of the brand in customers’ homes, so a smart appearance, great people skills, and attention to detail are essential. The role involves lifting and handling large items as part of a two‑person crew and requires a proactive, safety‑conscious approach both on the road and in customers’ homes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out safe and timely deliveries to customers’ homes, following set delivery routes
- Introduce yourself to customers by name and deliver to their room of choice
- Remove packaging and complete any pre‑booked additional services where required
- Complete daily vehicle checks, cleaning, and maintenance as required
- Load orders safely and securely in line with company specifications
- Maintain ongoing communication with the transport office
- Keep accurate delivery records, including photographs and customer confirmations
- Update customers if delivery times change, in line with company policy
- Take pride in representing the brand, maintaining professionalism and care at every delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Full, clean UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months, no more than 6 points)
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing role
- Experience driving larger vans (e.g., Luton or Low Loader)
- Strong customer service skills with a smart, professional appearance
- Attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Confident using smartphones/tablets for delivery tracking
- DBS check
