Job Summary: To set and operate a range of CNC-controlled machinery within the company, ensuring production meets required specifications and quality standards.
Salary: Starting rate varies dependant on experience from circa £43,500 – £54,500 per annum (inclusive of 35% shift premium). A substantial earning potential of £65,000–£70,000 annually is achievable, which includes overtime, for flexible machinists who are willing to work additional hours within legal limits.
Shift Pattern: Day shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. / Night shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. 12‑hour shifts (30‑minute unpaid break). Employees work 14 shifts within a 28‑day cycle with six consecutive days off every month.
Overtime & Combo Rates: 1.5x the standard hourly rate for hours worked Monday through Saturday. 2.0x the standard hourly rate for hours worked on Sundays. A combo rate of £2 per hour is also paid for each additional machine operated.

- Set and operate CNC machines, including:

- MCM Tank 1600 MP10 (10 pallets)
- Produce precision machined components and tooling items to specification.
- Perform quality checks throughout batch cycles.
- Accurately record quantities and time allocation using company systems.
- Conduct regular machine maintenance as per schedules.
- Carry out any other duties within the scope of the role as requested by Senior Management.
Skills & Qualifications:
- The role will involve setting and operating a variety of CNC 3/4/5 axis machines, dealing with Aluminium, Steel and Titanium components to tight tolerances.
- Must have good level of understanding in using either Fanuc, Heidenheim, Mazatrol or Siemens machine control systems; and also willing to develop further CNC machining skills and abilities.
- Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by Senior Management.
