Emergency Call Handler – Days – Full Time

Join Appello UK to work as an Emergency Call Handler under a full‑time contract (Days).

Hours & Shift Pattern

Hours per week: 35

Shift pattern: You will be working 4 days out of 7, on average, between Monday and Sunday. Shift hours will be scheduled between 06:00 – 22:00. You will always be guaranteed 1 weekend in 4 off and your rota will be 4 weeks in advance.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £22,404.20 pa (£12.31 per hour) + opportunity to earn PRP.

Location: Hybrid – Norwich.

Start date: 5th January 2026.

Training & Requirements

• Commit to 3 weeks of full‑time training, Monday – Friday 09:30 – 17:00 with a mix of in‑office and remote training (day 1 in the office).
• Internet requirement: 5 Mbps upload and 15 Mbps download speed.
• Minimum one year of call‑centre experience dealing with customers and having worked remotely.
• A good general standard of education; core values and training provided.

The Role

The heart of the Emergency Call Handler role is to arrange help for vulnerable clients when they need us most.

With a cool head and empathetic manner you will answer varying calls, ranging from providing reassurance, actioning accidental or test calls, to contacting emergency services.
