About You
You’re an experienced process professional with a strong background in documenting, structuring, and improving business processes. You’re confident translating complex operational and technical activity into clear, accurate SOPs and process descriptions, and you’re comfortable leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives. Working with structured document sets, version control, and governance frameworks feels natural to you, and you bring experience from regulated, service‑led, or operational environments. You’re familiar with enterprise mapping tools such as Adonis, ARIS, or Bizagi, and confident using diagramming and documentation tools like Visio, draw.io, Mermaid, ClickUp, and SharePoint. Experience with ISO standards, ITIL, or quality management systems is a strong advantage, and exposure to sectors such as telecare, health‑tech, utilities, or field services is welcomed. You likely hold a degree in Business or Operations Management (or equivalent experience) and may also bring relevant business analysis or operations certifications. You understand audit expectations, know what good evidence looks like, and have a strong grasp of process traceability and governance. You have solid knowledge of process modelling (e.g., BPMN 2.0) and are skilled at working with both operational teams and technical specialists. Clear and consistent written communication is one of your strengths, supported by strong organisational skills and experience managing process documentation throughout its lifecycle. Familiarity with ITILv4, Lean/continuous improvement, and ISO principles will help you excel. Above all, you’re methodical, detail‑oriented, and naturally curious about how things really work. You bring a calm, pragmatic approach, focusing on practical value over theory, and you’re comfortable working across multiple teams while balancing structure with real‑world operational needs.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be uncovering inefficiencies and identifying opportunities to improve how work gets done across our operational teams. You’ll simplify processes, clarify roles, and reduce unnecessary steps to create smoother, more consistent workflows. Working closely with colleagues, you’ll dig into how tasks are carried out in practice and turn this insight into clear, accurate process documentation. By using data and frontline feedback, you’ll spot failure points, control gaps, and areas where improvements will have the greatest impact. You’ll also support the rollout of new or enhanced processes, ensuring they are clearly understood, embedded effectively, and monitored for success—all helping our teams deliver exceptional service with greater confidence and clarity.
- Process Definition & Documentation: You’ll capture, structure and maintain clear, accurate descriptions of Appello’s business processes across operational, technical and corporate areas. You’ll ensure processes are documented consistently, support day‑to‑day operations and audit needs, and translate complex activity into clear, practical descriptions of how the business works.
- Process Governance & Control: You’ll help maintain strong governance of Appello’s process landscape, ensuring standards for structure, ownership and version control are followed. You’ll keep process, procedure and supporting documents aligned, and update them in a controlled way as the business or regulations change.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and operational teams to understand and validate how work is really done. You’ll facilitate constructive challenge, clarify responsibilities and decision points, and act as a neutral partner in documenting “what actually happens”.
- Continuous Improvement & Assurance Support: You’ll identify gaps, overlaps or risks in the process framework and highlight opportunities for improvement. You’ll support audits and quality reviews by ensuring documentation is accurate and accessible, and contribute to continuous improvement through clear analysis and insight.
