Be the final seal of quality before our products go live. As a Product Tester at Appello, you’ll turn complex requirements into confident, client‑ready releases.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week. Shift pattern: Monday – Friday 09:00‑17:00.

Location: Hybrid New Milton (3 days in office per week).

Start Date: May/June 2026.

Pre‑employment screening, including basic DBS checks and a two‑year reference period, must be completed prior to your start date. This may result in an adjusted start date.

Minimum internet speed: 5 Mbps upload, 15 Mbps download.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Hands‑on UAT and testing experience, applying structured and exploratory testing techniques.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC, testing phases, and how UAT fits into delivery.
  • Ability to translate requirements into clear test cases, acceptance criteria, and UAT scripts.
  • Defect management experience, including logging, tracking, investigating, and supporting resolution.
  • Confidence producing clear documentation, test reports, and quality metrics with excellent written communication.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, managing workload effectively across changing deadlines.
  • Comfort working in cross‑functional teams, collaborating with product, development, and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical, detail‑oriented mindset, with a logical approach to problem‑solving and quality assurance.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Experience or exposure to telephony or IT‑based products.
  • Technical authorship experience, producing structured, user‑friendly documentation.
  • Broader exposure to functional, regression, UAT, or FAT testing.
  • Experience within regulated or healthcare software environments.
  • A background in software testing, engineering, networking, or a related discipline.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design and deliver UAT protocols that comprehensively validate functional and operational requirements.
  • Execute rigorous UAT across new and enhanced systems to ensure releases meet agreed stakeholder expectations.
  • Capture and validate requirement changes, maintaining clear traceability from change request to test outcome.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including test results, defect logs, and formal sign‑off reports.
  • Manage testing timelines, proactively flagging risks, blockers, or delivery concerns.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with development, product, and business teams to support smooth go‑live transitions.
  • Identify, log, and track defects, working closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Continuously improve UAT processes, tools, and best practices across the engineering function.
