ABOUT YOU
You’re a supply chain professional with experience in supply planning, production planning, inventory management, or a related operational role. You’re confident working with ERP/MRP systems and have a solid understanding of forecasting methodologies, capacity planning, and supplier management principles. Strong communication skills come naturally to you, and you’re able to influence and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and suppliers. You may hold an APICS qualification or be keen to study towards one, and ideally you have a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline. You bring sharp analytical thinking, strong decision‑making skills, and the ability to drive supplier performance while resolving issues quickly and effectively. You maintain a high level of planning accuracy, demonstrate strong data discipline, and bring excellent attention to detail with a structured, process‑oriented approach. With great prioritisation and time‑management skills, you’re always looking for ways to improve and bring a continuous‑improvement mindset to your work. Above all, you’re motivated, driven to succeed, and able to work calmly and confidently under pressure. You communicate clearly, build trusting relationships, and can influence stakeholders at all levels across the business.
THE ROLE
In this role, you’ll develop accurate demand and supply plans by working closely with teams across the business to build reliable forecasts, monitor forecast accuracy, and provide insights for the S&OP process. You’ll manage day‑to‑day supplier operations—engaging regularly with suppliers, tracking performance (including OTIF, lead times, and compliance), resolving issues such as delays, manufacturing constraints, or stock shortages, and driving continuous improvement, escalating concerns where needed. You’ll maintain optimal inventory levels by working to agreed targets, managing safety stock, monitoring inventory health, and ensuring materials are available for production and customer fulfilment. You’ll also support logistics activities, overseeing inbound and outbound movements where required and ensuring compliance with customs, regulatory, and safety standards. Collaboration is central to this role: you’ll partner with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Quality, and others to meet operational goals, support MOQ analysis, participate in S&OP, and work with the Supply Chain Analyst to report key KPIs such as inbound OTIF, forecast accuracy, and inventory turns. Using strong analytical insight, you’ll identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement, contributing to cross‑functional projects that enhance service performance, reduce cost, and strengthen overall supply chain efficiency.
