Hours: 35 hours per week

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00

Salary: £35-40,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid New Milton

Training: Onsite for the first 2 weeks

Start Date: March 2025

Please note that this role is subject to pre‑employment screening, including basic DBS checks and two years of referencing. All screening must be completed prior to your start date, which may result in the start date being adjusted if required.

This role is a UK based role and any hybrid/remote work must also be within the UK.

For this role, you need 5mpbs upload and 15mpbs download internet speed.

About You:

You’re someone who’s passionate about developing others, confident with digital systems, and ready to help our teams thrive in a fast‑moving technical environment. You combine solid technical understanding with great communication skills — and you’re driven to make learning accessible, engaging, and effective.

Your Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience supporting onboarding and upskilling for digital systems (e.g. call handling platforms, alarm receiving systems)
  • Ability to create clear, user-friendly technical guides and materials
  • Experience supporting system rollouts or upgrades in a regulated environment
  • Experience delivering technical training in a telecare, healthcare, or TEC setting
  • Experience developing digital learning content
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Desirable:

  • Technical or telecare-related qualifications (e.g. Product Management, TSA training)
  • Training qualifications (TAP, Train the Trainer, etc.)

  • IP Addressing & Networking – subnets, routing basics, configuration
  • Telecommunications – digital comms principles, network behaviour
  • 4G/5G Connectivity – device performance, signalling reliability
  • Telecare Protocols – alarm formats, interoperability, digital standards
  • SIP / VoIP – signalling, troubleshooting, call setup fundamentals
  • ITIL Framework – incident, problem & change management
  • Freshworks / ITSM Tools – workflows, ticketing, knowledge management
  • L2TP/IPsec & PPTP VPNs – tunnelling, authentication & remote access

Bonus knowledge:

  • Adult learning principles
  • E‑learning authoring tools (Articulate, Rise, etc.)
  • Understanding of telecare systems, assistive tech, and digital platforms

The Role:

Role Overview: As our Technical Learning & Development Partner, you’ll design, deliver, and maintain technical training that builds digital capability across the organisation. Working closely with IT, operations, and external partners, you’ll ensure our people are confident and capable using the systems, tools, and technologies that power our business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify technical training needs and create impactful learning solutions
  • Design and deliver training on core systems, tools, and digital platforms
  • Build technical upskilling pathways tailored to roles and departments
  • Support onboarding with clear, accessible system walkthroughs
  • Partner with IT and business teams to keep training aligned with updates and change
  • Develop user-friendly training guides and digital content
  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and continuously improve
  • Promote digital confidence and capability across the organisation

Training Needs & Development Programmes:

  • Conduct regular Training Needs Analyses to identify skill gaps
  • Create structured development pathways for technical roles
  • Work with the L&D Manager on leadership and management development
  • Personalise learning journeys from onboarding to career progression
  • Integrate DEI principles into all programmes
  • Stay ahead of learning trends to enhance our learning culture

Training Delivery:

  • Deliver engaging technical training in-person and virtually
  • Lead Day 1 system onboarding for new starters
  • Provide refresher and upskilling sessions as systems evolve
  • Adapt delivery to different learning styles and technical levels
  • Ensure all training supports our digital transformation roadmap

People Leadership:

  • Line manage L&D team members, providing coaching and support
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture
  • Support performance reviews, development, and succession planning

Training Management:

  • Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and content accuracy
  • Track training completion and produce meaningful insights
  • Coordinate external training providers and agreements
  • Maintain organisation-wide training standards
  • Evaluate impact through feedback and performance metrics
  • Introduce AI-powered learning tools where suitable

Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Act as the SME for technical learning across the organisation
  • Maintain expert knowledge of digital systems and competencies
  • Support the design and rollout of new systems and upgrades
  • Translate technical updates into accessible learning for users
  • Provide insights to project teams on user readiness and adoption
  • Use data from LMS and systems to measure training impact

Change Management & Project Leadership:

  • Lead training-related projects from planning to evaluation
  • Enable smooth operational change through targeted training
  • Communicate change effectively to support adoption
  • Collaborate across functions to support digital transformation initiatives
