We are looking for an experienced NHS Administrative Assistant to join our team at Oaks Hospital, based in Colchester. This is an extremely busy role liaising with patients, consultants and all hospital departments., * Liaising with patients by phone & letter

  • Booking appointments

  • Liaising with consultants and clinical team

  • Completing all administrative tasks of the department

We need an individual with a professional approach, excellent verbal communication skills, initiative and the ability to work within a team. You must be computer literate – experience with Word and Outlook being essential. Previous use of an Electronic Patient Record system would be an advantage., * Excellent organisational skills

  • An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral

  • An excellent standard of computer literacy to include experience in Word & Excel

  • The ability to work within a team

  • The ability to time-manage

  • Experience using a Patient Administration System would an advantage

  • 25 Days Leave + Bank Holidays
