The Lead Mechanical Engineer provides technical leadership within the process and reliability engineering department for equipment and process design for Seqirus Liverpool’s products ensuring the engineering solutions meet cost, reliability, schedule, and performance integrity requirements. Additionally, you will manage the planning all process engineering activities from preliminary design to routine manufacturing, coordinated with the project management team, including in-house/plant technical support.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Process and Reliability Engineering and be based at our Liverpool site.
The Role
Your focus is to support the Liverpool Manufacturing strategy to meet goals. Your role will be split into two main areas:

Support important process improvement programmes.

Complete plant modifications and engineering projects to meet strategic performance targets (e.g. financial, supply chain, write-offs, cGMP & EHS).

Degree in an engineering discipline is essential preferably in mechanical engineering (expected to be Chartered or working towards).

Broad-based engineering experience is required to allow you to operate across many departments and processes (End to End Primary / Secondary Fill Finish and Utilities).

Substantial experience working in industry.

Independently provide daily support to our manufacturing operations

Identify opportunities for process improvements / optimisation sitewide.

Independently lead complex cross-functional process changes.

Maintain oversight of all area process changes to ensure prioritisation / resource management.

Manage process engineering resources within area to ensure support to manufacturing operations.
