Objective:
Employer is a leading garment manufacturer with vertically integrated operations that include fabric knitting, dyeing/finishing and garment production. The Fashion Design Lead will be based in London, providing design support and acting as the bridge between factory and UK buyers.
Job descriptions:
- Conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniques, and seek design inspiration.
- Manage the design process from conception through to final styling.
- Collaborate with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to the line, and create new concepts.
- Ensure products align with the business strategy.
- Select fabrics and trims.
- Create production sketches for development packages.
- Collaborate with technical designers to ensure development packages are accurate.
- Review products for style and fit during presentations.
