Role Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable 7.5t Driver to join our busy team in Erith. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking for a new challenge in a fast‑paced and customer‑focused environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring timely and safe deliveries to our customers while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver goods safely and efficiently to merchant businesses and retail customers
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
- Check, load and unload goods safely, ensuring all deliveries are signed for
- Return all paperwork daily and record any returns, shortages, or errors
- Take responsibility for company stock and vehicle at all times
- Drive safely and comply with all relevant vehicle monitoring KPIs
- Download tachograph data promptly and adhere to permitted driving times
- Ensure CPC qualification is valid and up to date
- Read and follow the driver’s handbook
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Follow company procedures when reporting accidents
- Complete compliance and training modules on time
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and tidiness
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality
- Follow correct manual handling guidelines
- Support warehouse colleagues when not on delivery routes
About You
- Previous experience working in a plumbing & heating or central heating merchant is desirable
- Minimum two years’ experience as a delivery driver
- Reliable, customer‑focused, and committed to safe working practices
- UK Category B or C1 licence
- Able to complete daily vehicle checks and delivery routes
