ApolloGrid is a fast-growing renewable energy company specialising in sustainable home heating solutions. We are currently expanding our Delivery Service Centre and looking for an experienced Heat Pump Technical Manager / Qualified Supervisor to join our Engineering Group. This is a senior, manager-level role where you will act as the MCS Technical Person / Qualified Supervisor. You will play a critical leadership role in maintaining technical excellence, ensuring full MCS compliance, and supporting the continued growth of our Air Source Heat Pump installation operations across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the designated MCS Technical Person / Qualified Supervisor
- Oversee system design, including heat loss calculations and correct system sizing
- Review and sign-off all heat pump installations
- Lead MCS audit preparation and maintain ongoing compliance processes
- Develop and improve installation standards and internal technical procedures
- Support, mentor, and train installation engineers on site and in the office
- Ensure all installations meet MCS (MIS 3005) standards and best industry practices
What We're Looking For
- Strong background in heating systems and renewable energy technologies
- Proven hands-on experience with heat pump installations and system design
- In-depth familiarity with MCS standards (MIS 3005)
- Experience preparing for and successfully passing MCS audits
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and team support abilities
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: £45,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working (London-based with flexibility)
- 37.5 working hours per week
