Who we are

Apollo, a Skyward Group company, is an innovation-inspired insurance platform operating at Lloyd’s of London, delivering data-driven and creative solutions across a broad range of risks. Our name reflects our origins. Inspired by one of our founding investors, Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon, the business was built with the same pioneering mindset. Alongside Jim Hays, Neil set out to create a different kind of Lloyd’s platform, focused, agile and built around people. Since launch in 2009, we have grown into a diversified insurance group offering products across Property, Casualty, Marine, Energy and Transportation, Specialty and Reinsurance, alongside Smart Follow and digital and embedded risk programmes. Our experience and unique ecosystem give Platform Partners the best chance of success, from navigating the Lloyd’s new entrant process through to the delivery of their long-term strategy. With a team of more than 300 professionals, we continue to grow with purpose, combining underwriting excellence, innovation and collaboration to enable a more resilient and sustainable world.

Your Role

Apollo is continuing to invest significantly in digital capability, data platforms, automation, and AI enabled solutions across the business. To maximise the value of these investments, we are seeking a Digital Learning & Enablement Specialist to help colleagues confidently use new tools, systems, and ways of working. Reporting to the Senior L&D Manager, with a dotted line into Digital Solutions, you will work across technology, learning, and business teams to support the rollout and embedding of digital products and capabilities. You will design and deliver practical enablement activity, helping colleagues adopt new technologies while providing valuable insight and feedback to product teams. This 12-month fixed term contract offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in Apollo's digital transformation journey, helping ensure new capabilities are understood, embraced, and embedded across the business.

What You'll Do

  • Help establish a sustainable and scalable approach to digital enablement across Apollo, working closely with Learning & Development, Digital Solutions, and business stakeholders.
  • Support the successful rollout and embedding of digital products, platforms, and AI capabilities across the business.
  • Partner with Digital Solutions teams to understand upcoming releases, business impacts, and enablement requirements ahead of launch.
  • Design and deliver practical learning and enablement activities including workshops, walkthroughs, drop-in sessions, guides, and support materials.
  • Act as a bridge between technology teams and business users, helping translate technical change into practical day-to-day outcomes.
  • Build relationships across Apollo to understand user needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities to improve engagement and adoption.
  • Track adoption metrics and user insight, using data to shape future enablement activity and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting digital transformation, technology adoption, business change, or learning enablement initiatives, helping colleagues successfully embrace new tools, systems, and ways of working.
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into practical, accessible guidance for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing and delivering training, enablement programmes, workshops, or learning interventions.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across both technology and business teams.
  • Comfortable using feedback, insights, and adoption metrics to understand what is working well and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience collaborating with product, technology, engineering, or digital delivery teams would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to AI tools, SaaS platforms, enterprise technology, or digital product environments would be advantageous.
  • Experience within insurance, financial services, professional services, or another regulated environment would be beneficial.

What you’ll get in return

We offer a competitive and thoughtfully designed reward package that reflects the value of our people. This includes a fair and attractive salary, discretionary bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package - including 31 days’ annual leave, a non-contributory pension and private medical insurance.

We are a diverse, growing team of empowered experts who bring collaboration, innovation and data-driven thinking to every relationship and every risk. That’s why we are committed to developing diverse talent at every level and creating an environment where different perspectives are genuinely valued, supported and celebrated.
