Apollo Tyres Ltd is an international tyre manufacturer and the leading tyre brand in India. The company has multiple manufacturing units in India and a unit each in The Netherlands and Hungary. The company markets its products under its two global brands – Apollo and Vredestein, and its products are available in over 100 countries through a vast network of branded, exclusive and multi-product outlets.
We are looking to strengthen our Sales team in the North of England, with an Account Manager. In this role, you will have the responsibility of collaborating with accounts at multiple levels to ensure the right mix of products, effective supply routes, and excellent marketing support. Your goal will be to maximize sell-out for the key accounts and generate retail business both direct and indirect while achieving the best possible P&L for both parties. As an Account Manager, you will report directly to the Country Sales Manager.
What will be your role in more detail?
- Relationship building & maintenance: You will gather information about the customer and their sales market, ensure customer satisfaction as well as manage the broader ecosystem.
- Managing the business: You will negotiate contracts, discuss pricing & conditions with customers, and manage new orders, internal price alignments, reporting, and supply.
- Marketing Plans: Discuss marketing plans with your accounts.
- Market research: You will conduct market research to inform strategies.
Are you our ideal candidate?
We’re looking for someone with account managing experience in tyre or a related industry. You should have strong financial acumen. The ideal candidate is persistent, disciplined, a team player, and possesses strong communication and influencing skills, with fluency in English.
Do you have what it takes? (requirements)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience;
- Background in the automotive or tyre industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge on OHT products is a major plus.
- You live in Northwest of England (preferably Manchester/Sheffield area) and are open to travel regularly.
