At Apollo Private Wealth, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Wealth Adviser to join our high‑performing team and develop into a successful Wealth Adviser. This role is ideal for someone with experience in paraplanning or advice support and who is ready to take the next step towards becoming a Financial Adviser and managing their own clients.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with Wealth Advisers and support staff, supporting the delivery of high‑quality financial advice to clients.
- Embark on a structured 6–12 month training and assessment programme, tailored to your current experience and development pace.
- Receive dedicated mentorship and ongoing support from a collaborative team environment.
- Have a clear pathway to becoming a Wealth Adviser.
- Support obtaining a place on the 9 week St. James’ Place Adviser Academy.
- Proactively generate new client pipeline through outreach and networking.
- Call Apollo generated prospects to discuss our service (KPI).
- Book prospect meetings and manage adviser diaries (KPI).
- Prepare client background notes ahead of meetings.
- Create presentation materials (e.g. PowerPoint slides).
- Update client records, including asset and income schedules.
- Support Advisers with research, policy information, and administrative tasks.
- Submit documentation and manage the client journey in line with best practice.
- Produce client documentation such as Suitability Assessment letters (KPI).
- Handle client queries efficiently and professionally.
- Support cash flow modelling (e.g. using Voyant).
- Gradually develop the skills to lead client meetings (Discovery, Presentation, Review).
- Shadow client meetings and take detailed, compliant notes.
- Prepare follow‑up communications and agreed action points.
Role Requirements
Essential:
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice.
- Experience within Wealth Management / IFA environment.
- Exposure to client meetings with active participation.
- Strong technical understanding of financial advice.
- Ambition to progress to Chartered Financial Adviser status.
- Experience building client relationships.
- Initiative to find solutions and self-develop.
Desirable:
- Paraplanning experience.
- Experience with cash flow modelling (e.g. Voyant).
