About Us

At Apollo Home Healthcare, we provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in the comfort of their own homes. Every individual we support has unique needs – we tailor every care package to them, building a compassionate and skilled team around their requirements. We live and work by the 6 Cs: Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, and Commitment – and we’re looking for people who share those values.

About the Role:

As a Senior Care Coordinator, you will be at the heart of ensuring our clients receive seamless, person-centred care. This is a role that combines leadership, organisation, and coordination, allowing you to make a real difference in our client’s lives. You won’t just manage your own care packages—you’ll be the go-to person for our team of Care Coordinators, supporting their development, solving problems, and keeping the team running smoothly. You will be based at your local Apollo Home Healthcare office in Peterborough, but at times, travel across the East region will be required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Manage care team rotas efficiently, responding to day-to-day changes.
  • Monitor care delivery to ensure compliance with individual care plans and quality standards.
  • Participate in multi-agency meetings with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), advocating for client needs and contributing to care planning decisions.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new team members.
  • Manage complaints and incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Lead or attend meetings in the absence of management.
  • Support the out-of-hours on-call service on a 1 in 5 rota basis (no hands-on care required).
  • When covering a weekend, you’ll receive an additional day off the following week to support a healthy work-life balance.

What You’ll Need:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a team leader or management role, as well as experience within the care sector. These experiences do not need to have been gained within the same position.
  • Solid experience in an office-based role, with a good understanding of admin processes and documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple care packages and respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Confident in making decisions with the ability to think on your feet and solve problems while staying calm and professional.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to suit different audiences, including families, professionals, and external partners.
  • Comfortable negotiating and influencing, particularly when managing rotas or balancing client needs.
  • A team player with a positive, proactive approach and the ability to build strong working relationships.

What We Offer:

  • Progression opportunities.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
  • An extra day off for your birthday.
  • An additional day off following the completion of on-call duties.
  • Bonus scheme.
  • Loyalty reward programmes at 3 and 5 years.
  • Refer-a-friend scheme.
  • Workplace pension.
  • Paid DBS.
