Job description

Nursery Nurse

  • Location: Bury, BL9
  • Pay Rate: £13.00 – £16.00
  • Shifts: Part Time | Days | 6- 8 hour shifts

Meet Our Client

We are currently supporting a teenage girl who lives in Bury with her family. She has a real passion for music including playing instruments like guitars and drums, and she also enjoys it when people sing with her. In her free time, she likes watching shows such as Peppa Pig and Horrid Henry on both her television and iPad. She unable to communicate verbally and does so through facial expressions, laughter and smiles.

During weekdays, you will accompany her to school and provide support throughout the day, including personal care and help with transfers. She will be picked up and dropped off at home by school transport. On days when she does not attend school, you will help meet her needs and engage her in activities she enjoys most, ensuring her day is fun, stimulating, and fulfilling.

What You\’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you\’ll need to have experience as a Nursery Nurse or Childcare Practitioner, with a strong passion for supporting children and young people.

We\’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable
  • Confident in working with children and young people in a hands-on care environment
  • Committed to learning new clinical skills and advancing their career in complex care

While clinical experience is not essential, you must be willing to undertake comprehensive training in areas such as:

  • Tracheostomy care
  • Ventilation management
  • Gastrostomy care (PEG feeding)
  • Personal care
  • Moving and handling
